The Seven Deadly Sins
Personal ProjectThe set of portraits created for the “Seven Deadly Sins” is in reference to the fourth century doctrine of Evagrius Ponticus, a Christian monk. Translated into the modern political context, they reflect the perceived public opinion of notable people in positions of power; or social movements that have negative impact. The hand-drawn subjects selected for these portraits were matched with each of the deadly sins to reflect them in the modern political context : cruelty, selfishness, intolerance, bigotry, racism, greed and aggression.
